Dixie is a sweetheart who came from a horrendous hoarding situation with several other dogs and cats.
She is a cuddle bug who will be your best friend, but she has had a past that follows her.
She was usually tied to a t-post which allowed her to run in circles for days on end and the only way to move. She had no shelter, food or water at this post so it created a very negative mindset that leaves her with pretty severe anxiety.
She had a “entropion” surgery to correct the rolled in eye lashes that would cause her pain every second of every day.
She has now healed from a chronic ear infection that went deep enough to cause long term damage to her hearing and her balance.
Now when dixie is scared or nervous, she will pace in continuous circles. She seems to run into other dogs or objects at times, which we think is her equilibrium off balance.
We have started her on trazadone (sedative), anti-anxiety medication and use enrichment toys and a thunder jacket to calm her.
She does love other dogs and cats, however anyone interested in her, so consider how her anxiety will make other dogs in the home feel and if its a good fit. We do believe that once she’s settled into her forever home with the correct tools, that her anxiety will significantly decrease.
Bailey is a favorite here at CPR. She LOVES her humans, especially her foster dad. She came to CPR when she had given birth 4 hours prior. She was the best mama to all 8 of her babies and now is ready for a home of her own!
She is okay around other dogs, but wants all the attention so would probably do best as an only dog. She does great with the cats and the foster families guinea pigs.
She is 6 years old, spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.
Her adoption fee is $300
Deacon is a big and strong teddy bear! He is 7 years old and would do best in a quiet home. He does great with other dogs and is used to kids, but isn’t too fond of the hectic household he currently lives in. He’d much rather spend his time lounging in the quiet life.
He is neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. Please reach out if you’re interested in Deacon!
Scrappy is a 10 week old beagle mix! He is your typical beagle, loves everything and everyone and his little howl is adorable!
He is age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and microchipped!
His adoption fee is $400
Sierra is the definition of beauty and love. She is a gorgeous 10 month old great pyrenees mix that is around 70#. She was dumped with her siblings in the country and we were able to take her.
She is a little shy, true to the breed, but warms up quickly. She is goofy and finding out how to play with her big feet!
She LOVES other dogs!
She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed for an adoption fee of $450.
Callie is the longest standing foster dog in CPR!
Callie is ready to find her forever home. She is a true couch potato at heart! She is happiest when lounging around, enjoying a cozy spot in the house, or getting some gentle affection for her favorite people. Callie is a loving companion who thrives in a peaceful environment and would do best in a home with less chaos.
